Arcus Biosciences is seeking a highly motivated and team-oriented individual for the position of Research Associate in the Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics (DMPK) Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting in-vitro ADME studies, qualitative and quantitative analysis of small molecules using LC-MS/MS, to support multiple drug discovery and development projects.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
LC-MS/MS method development and quantitative analysis of in vitro and in vivo samples in various biological matrices.
Perform in vitro ADME assays such as metabolic stability, CYP inhibition, plasma protein binding and blood to plasma partitioning; develop new assays as needed.
Conduct in vitro and in vivo metabolite identification and profiling studies using LC-MS/MS and/or LC-radio chromatography.
Analyze preclinical pharmacokinetic and toxicokinetic samples as needed.
Perform data analysis and reporting of experimental results to project teams.
Operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of LCMS instruments.
Qualifications:
BS/MS degree in chemistry or related scientific discipline with 1-4 years of relevant experience.
Solid background in organic chemistry and good knowledge of DMPK principles.
Hands-on experience in LC-MS/MS method development on SCIEX triple quadrupole mass spectrometer is required.
Experience with in vitro ADME assays highly desirable.
Experience with Thermo Orbitrap and liquid handling systems would be a plus.
Strong work ethic, self-motivated, and proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
